When you’re a four-time Premiership Hawk, three-time All Australian, Hawthorn skipper and a Coleman Medallist, you’d think you’d automatically bypass the “let’s pick on the new guy” office trope.

But apparently not so at RSEA Park.

Roughy was scared Saint-less by new resident prankster Bradley Hill, who refused to give his former teammate an easy first week at the club.

And we know where he’s getting his inspiration from…

But it wasn’t enough to rattle Roughy, who got to work with emerging forward Max King in an intense session out on the training track.

Jimmy was still all smiles (much to Jack Mayo’s delight)…

...new Saint Ryan Abbott settled into his new colours...

…while Luke Dunstan showed off his rig (again) in the hopes of making it onto a rebooted Baywatch series.

Speaking of looking sharp, the boys were kitted out with brand new suits for the season ahead…

…but it wasn’t as simple as it sounded.

With Zak Jones, Dougal Howard, Callum Wilkie and Nicholas Hind all queued up waiting for their turn, the boys found themselves in a sticky situation as to who was up next.

But when seemingly unsolvable problems arise, the best resolution is always a game of paper, scissors, rock.

Apparently, it "doesn’t work" overly well between four people.

Meanwhile, Ratts had a challenge of a different kind for our membership team.

It was on for the red, white and black to surpass 28,000 members, with a free lunch on the senior coach serving as motivation.

And with the tally OFFICIALLY ticking over Ratts’ benchmark, Deliveroo can expect his call.

But amidst the fun and games, our women were hard at work.

In their first official week of pre-season, our inaugural squad came together as the 2020 AFLW Season draws ever closer.

Ali Drennan took out top spot for the 2km time trial…

…while youngster Isabella Shannon and draftee Hannah Priest rounded out the top-three.

And with preparations ramping up ahead of the 2020 AFLW Season, every moment counts for our newest crop of Saints.

There were a few fresh faces for our men’s team too.

The Saints were busy at the draft table on Thursday night, adding two new talents at the 2019 National Draft.

We welcomed in Ryan Byrnes and Leo Connolly with picks No. 52 and 64, with the pair boasting an impressive skillset that will only get better.

And of course, we couldn’t go through the draft without selecting another Jack!

Although we lost two in the off-season, Jack Bell helped replenish the stocks after being taken with pick No. 5 in the rookie draft.
