St Kilda’s debut women’s side has been named ahead of its landmark return to RSEA Park, Moorabbin.

A 21-woman team will set foot on the hallowed turf this Sunday against the Western Bulldogs, breaking a 27-year drought of competitive football for Premiership points at the iconic venue.

Ten players in the inaugural line-up have had experience at AFLW level, while the remaining 11 will make their first imprint in the top-tier competition.

Georgia Patrikios and Olivia Vesely are young guns to look out for through the midfield, joining experienced veterans Emma Mackie, Nat Exon and co-captain Cat Phillips.

Irishwoman Clara Fitzpatrick is poised to rein in the Dogs’ most dangerous forwards down back, while you can expect plenty of grit from defenders Tarni White and Tilly Lucas-Rodd.

Exciting forward Kate McCarthy is set to add some flair to the Saints’ attack, leaving the two-pronged offensive of Kate Shierlaw and Caitlin 'G-Train' Greiser to take charge of the forward 50.

Rhiannon Watt also adds to the tall timber, while on the flipside, hardened inside mid Rosie Dillon will pack a punch.

Alison Drennan and Poppy Kelly have been named as emergencies.
