Brendon Goddard has been honoured with life membership of the St Kilda Football Club.

Goddard was drafted by St Kilda from the Gippsland Power in the 2002 National Draft at pick number one, making his AFL debut in 2003.

The star midfielder has since played 205 games and kicked 104 goals for St Kilda.

Among his accolades, the 26-year-old came second in the 2009 Best & Fairest, third in the 2010 Best & Fairest and is a two-time All Australian (2009, 2010)

After ten years of service to the club, and having played more than 200 Games, Goddard was awarded with life membership on Wednesday night.

“It’s obviously a humbling experience.  You set your goals numerous times throughout the year and you probably wonder whether they are achievable or not (but) 200 games it’s something that you remember forever and obviously somewhat etched in history at the footy club and it’s obviously very humbling and I’m very honoured,” he said.
