The vision for Moorabbin

“The vision for Moorabbin is to have a world-class facility. Stage 2 really completes what will be a very, very good facility and an attractive location, so that will really help us on the path towards becoming a destination club, which we’re already starting to see the last couple of years. The Danny Frawley Centre adds to that and we think can make an enormous difference both with the football club but also the broader community in terms of dealing with the issues of mental health, which we know is a very, very big issue in society.”

Season 2021 for St Kilda members

“There’s a lot of things happening in the background and that means there’s no certainty yet as to what exactly will happen. Obviously the club is working with the AFL and are hoping for maximum crowds as possible. The clear view of St Kilda – and I think most clubs feel the same – is that we’re absolutely going to prioritise members. The best way to ensure you get a seat and get looked after is to have membership, and I think that has been part of the motivation for membership.

The 2021 draw

“Not for the first time, but we need to take the attitude that we need to play the best (teams) if we’re going to be who we want to be over time. We need to be able to beat anyone. It’s not the draw we wouldn’t have chosen ourselves, but it’s the draw we have.”

The independent review of the AFL

“I’m open-minded with the argument that you should always look at what you’re doing to try and be better. There’s all sort of things happening in the background amongst the Presidents and amongst the clubs. I’m a bit unsure about the timing –  there’s so much going on that we don’t know what new normal looks like, let’s wait until we have some semblance of normality and then get a sense of looking at the future. When we can barely plan for the next three months right now, it seems hard to plan – and a bit strangely timed to plan – for the next five years."
