Furphy is now the official beer of St Kilda Football Club, with the iconic brand penning a sponsorship deal with the club this week.

Made from 100% Victorian hops and malt, the local brew will be a staple across the Saints calendar this year.

“We’re very proud to partner with a homegrown business like Furphy,” Saints CEO Matt Finnis said.

“After a tumultuous 2020, we’re really looking forward to welcoming St Kilda fans back to our functions and events, so bringing Furphy on board now is perfect timing.”

Born at the Little Creatures Brewery in Geelong, in tanks from the Furphy Foundry in Shepparton, Furphy has firmed up its position as a fan-favourite in the Victorian beer market.

Lion Managing Director James Brindley said Furphy was thrilled to join with the Saints.

“Furphy is so excited to be the official beer of such an iconic Victorian club,” Brindley said.

“We cannot wait to see fans enjoying a Furphy and telling a few too.”

Furphy will feature on the club’s media backdrop and at Saints’ functions and events throughout the year.
