Oscar Clavarino is the 1626th senior player to appear for the Saints since Billy Shaw led the Saints out in the opening VFL round of 1897.
St Kilda players are all over the globe and we want them to be part of our alumni. For example, Peter Curtain is a physiotherapist in Canada, Nick Stone runs a chain of cafes in New York, Doug Booth is a professor at a New Zealand University, Peter Huntley works in Poland and Michael Rix is based in New York.
On a practical basis, we need to let them know about the benefits of being part of the AFL Past Players Association which can assist in medical and other costs that are incurred after their footy days are over.
