St Kilda has added a new member to its AFLW playing list, with the club granted permission by the AFL to sign basketball convert Paige Price as a rookie.

Price will add much-needed height to the Saints’ stocks, with the 18-year-old coming in at an impressive 188cm.

Price, a lifelong St Kilda fan, hasn’t played competitive football since 2017, but has made the switch back to the Sherrin after spending time in the USA.

“It’s fantastic to have Paige join us for the season ahead,” Head of Women’s Football Jamie Cox said.

She’s a terrific athlete with a great vertical leap, and her height is something which will greatly benefit our list.

“We look forward to welcoming Paige to RSEA Park once she completes her hotel quarantine and are excited to see what she’ll produce in the coming months.”

St Kilda has three spots on its list to fill heading into this year’s AFL Women’s Draft.
