St Kilda development assistant Dylan Roberton runs through each Saint who played in the Zebras' clash with Collingwood on Sunday.
Dean Kent
(18 disposals, six tackles)
“Kenty was better again, he was the only Saints guy who went through the inside stoppages for us, and when he was in there, he was super explosive.
“He ended up with six tackles too, so it was another good step for Dean, he played with a lot of energy and his pace was definitely noticeable.
“He ran out the game better this week as well, so that match fitness is starting to come back too.”
Darragh Joyce
(22 disposals)
“Darragh played a really good game in terms of setting us up and got a lot of the ball.
“He probably just let himself down with his marking, where he is normally really good in the air, he was just a bit fumbly.
“We’re not too worried because he still was getting to the right spots, so he’ll be putting the work in this week and making sure to get his hands back.”
Jack Lonie
(11 disposals, two goals)
“Jack had a bit of a funny one as he was an emergency for the AFL side, so he was on limited minutes in case he got the call-up.
“He was on the bench for a fair chunk of the game, but his attitude was outstanding.
Sandy get one back through some terrific contested work from Jack Lonie.

“He was really good at setting up structure, and when he was on the ground, he played with a lot of energy and pressure.
“It would have been a bit of a strange day mentally, but he dealt with it really well and had a solid game.”
Oscar Clavarino
(16 disposals, eight marks)
“Clav was really solid down back, like always.
“He had five intercept marks, so he was similar to Darragh but was able to clunk a couple more marks.
“He was getting into really good spots and played out the game well.”
Paul Hunter
(26 hit-outs, eight disposals, one goal)
“Paul has been dominant the past few weeks, and he had a really good challenge coming into this week against the Pies.
“Max Lynch for Collingwood has been in some good form, so he had to battle a bit more this week, and it was a good test for him.
“When he is playing really well, it’s actually what he does after the tap, with his follow-up work.
“He’ll be focussing on that this week and looking to play with a bit more edge coming into the next game.”
Cooper Sharman
(Nine disposals, two goals)
“Coops slotted a couple of goals and he is continuing to impress.
“He is a really smart player and always seems to get to good spots on the ground, whether that’s out the back or at the leg.
“He knows where the space is and where to go and has a really nice leap on him. He’s one of those guys that you could see taking mark of the year someday.
“He also had a really nice set shot from 45 out in pretty windy conditions too.
“For a young kid who doesn’t say a lot, he is pretty mature on the field and a pretty handy player.”
Matthew Allison
(16 disposals)
“It was a good game for Matty, he took a lot of steps forward.
“He’s quite new to playing in the backline and new to the system in general, so early on he had a lot of work to do with defending, spoiling, and putting body on opponents, which he wasn’t a natural at doing.
“He’s done a lot of work with the coaches, with a focus on being a key defender.
“He only lost a single on-on-one contest for the day, and other than that, he pretty much spoiled everything and got some body on his opponent as well.”
Sam Alabakis
(Eight hit-outs, five disposals)
“Sal is continuing to develop, and he kept his progress going on the weekend.
“He was able to get to a few contests, and hang onto a couple of marks, which was good to see.
“He’s obviously a big guy, so when he can get to those contests, he can throw his weight around.”
