Mid-season rookie selection Cooper Sharman will make his debut this afternoon against West Coast as the medical sub.

Sharman, who was selected with pick No. 21 at this year’s mid-season rookie draft, has made a strong impression in St Kilda colours despite his limited time with the squad.

The SANFL recruit joined the club's Sydney hub less than a week after being drafted and was one of 29 players to make the trip over to Western Australia last Saturday.

An impressive overhead mark with clean foot skills, Sharman has pressed his case in his recent outings for Sandringham with six goals from his last three appearances.

Sharman will become the 1628th V/AFL player to make their senior debut in red, white and black.
