St Kilda has finalised its list for the upcoming AFLW season with the signing of Norwood ruck Leah Cutting as a free agent.

The 185cm recruit – who registered the fastest 2km time trial at this year’s South Australian combine – will provide support to St Kilda’s ruck department, easing the load off co-captain Rhi Watt and rookie selection Paige Price.

Cutting not only brings a wealth of experience to the Saints’ young line-up, but a decorated resumé complete with Premiership, co-captaincy and SANFLW Team of the Year honours.

She was also one of the first women to reach the 50-game milestone in the SANFLW competition and is yet to miss a game for the Redlegs.

“We’re rapt to have Leah join us and add to our ruck stocks,” Head of Women’s Football Jamie Cox said.

“Leah’s a true professional and her football achievements alone speak volumes about her diligent approach and athleticism.

“We look forward to welcoming Leah to RSEA Park and bringing our completed list together.”

Cutting was a former teammate of St Kilda co-captain Hannah Priest and Tahlia Meyer, with today’s signing reuniting the trio after two seasons.
