After two torrid seasons cruelled by collarbone and quad injuries, top-10 draft pick Darcy Guttridge finally got the chance to showcase her talents at her new club.
The former Magpie made her debut in Round 2 against Adelaide, holding down her spot for the remainder of the year to be part of the Saints’ two triumphs.
Guttridge slotted majors in both games, with the first against Melbourne determined by just five points.
Originally from Gippsland, the 20-year-old boasted an impressive resumé as a junior, complete with captaincy honours for the 2017 under-18 All Australian side.
Able to play as a rebounding defender or as a handy forward to jag a major or two, Guttridge’s versatility is poised to be an integral asset of St Kilda’s fabric heading into Season 2021.
