St Kilda has confirmed its initial AFLW list changes with Darcy Guttridge and Rene Caris informed they will not be offered contracts for the 2027 season.

Gippsland product Guttridge began her AFLW career at Collingwood after being selected with pick No. 9 in the 2017 draft, before making the move to Moorabbin as part of St Kilda's inaugural AFLW side ahead of the 2020 season.

Spending time across half-forward and on the wing, Guttridge was known for her versatility and willingness to play wherever the team needed her, while also making an impact on the scoreboard. The 26-year-old finishes her time at Moorabbin having played 70 AFLW games, including 67 in the red, white and black.

Ruckwoman Caris arrived at Moorabbin from Greater Western Sydney ahead of the 2024 season, going on to play 20 games for the Saints.

The 27-year-old began her AFLW career at Geelong before spending a season with the Giants as an injury replacement player.

“Darcy and Rene have both been important members of our playing group, both on and off the field, and we're incredibly grateful for everything they've given to the club throughout their time with us,” GM of AFLW Jessie Mulholland said.

“Both have brought their own personality and strengths to our group, and have made a significant contribution to our program in so many ways

“Darcy in particular has been part of our journey since the very beginning, and as an inaugural Saint, has played an important role in helping shape our club over the past six years.

“We thank both players for their commitment and dedication to St Kilda, wish them nothing but the best for what comes next and know they will always be welcome back at RSEA Park.”
