The St Kilda Football Club has today secured veteran Jake Stringer and versatile tall Max Ramsden as Delisted Free Agents.
The towering 203cm ruck-forward Ramsden played his junior football with the Sandringham Dragons before being selected by Hawthorn in the 2022 Mid-Season Draft.
The 23-year-old Ramsden has since played 11 AFL games and proven highly effective at VFL level, booting 31 goals in 2025 before helping the Box Hill Hawks claim the 2026 premiership while playing significant time in the ruck.
St Kilda General Manager of Football Lenny Hayes said Ramsden would provide the coaching group with a versatile asset heading into the 2027 season.
“Max’s mobility and follow-up work are real strengths when he plays in the ruck, and we’re excited to watch him continue to develop alongside Tom De Koning and Alex Dodson.
“We’ve also formally added Jake Stringer to our list today and like Jake, Max is another player we believe can add valuable depth and flexibility to our forward mix next season.”
Ramsden said he was looking forward to joining his new teammates for pre-season training later this month.
“I’m really thankful to the Saints for providing this opportunity and keen to work hard and prove myself in a new environment.”
As announced prior to the delisted free agency window opening, Stringer joins the Saints after 250 games and 440 goals across the Western Bulldogs, Essendon and the GWS GIANTS.
A premiership player and one-time All-Australian, Stringer's goal-kicking pedigree has proven to be one of his greatest strengths, leading his club's goal-kicking on seven occasions across his career, including his final season with the Giants in 2026.
With three vacant senior list positions, the club will now turn its attention to the 2026 AFL National Draft, where St Kilda holds picks 10, 16 and 41.
