📍 FOOTBALL JOURNEY

Drafted in the first round of the 2012 National Draft, Stringer joined the Western Bulldogs from the Bendigo Pioneers and looked to make an immediate impact as an explosive forward.

Stringer truly broke out in his third season at the Kennel, kicking 56 goals from 22 games in 2015 and leading the Bulldogs goal-kicking, a feat he achieved twice more in the years following.

He received All-Australian selection for his efforts in 2015 and took his flying form into 2016, when Stringer became a premiership player and helped lead the Dogs to an unlikely flag.

Stringer was traded to the Bombers at the end of the 2017 season and was quick to make his mark in the red and black, leading the club's goalkicking in his first and second seasons. He would again kick the most goals for Essendon in 2021, leading them to an elimination final.

At the end of the 2024 season, Stringer made his way to Western Sydney and suited up for the GWS Giants.

Despite an interrupted 2025, Stringer's 2026 campaign was one of his strongest, kicking the second-most goals in a season of his career to date and leading his side's goal-kicking for the seventh time.

In his 250th AFL game, and final game for GWS, Stringer booted six goals and showed he has plenty to show as he heads to RSEA Park.

🗣️ WHAT LENNY SAID

“Jake has a proven ability to hit the scoreboard and we believe he can add another dimension to our forward line,” Hayes said.

“Jake's experience and goal kicking ability will complement the talent we already have while giving us greater flexibility and depth in attack.”
