For a time, it seemed the closest Tyanna Smith would get to making it onto a footy field was running through a West Coast banner when she was just eight years old.
Fast-forward almost a decade, and the top-10 draftee from the 2020 Women’s Draft is set to make waves as part of St Kilda’s lively midfield brigade.
Lightning-quick underfoot, agile through traffic and able to split packs with consistently, Smith as all the attributes to be an important cornerstone of the Saints’ fledgling future.
The No. 6. made her electric debut in Round 1 against the Western Bulldogs, collecting 16 disposals and a goal in the heart-racing triumph in the heartland.
Smith was selected with pick. No. 6 in the 2020 Women’s Draft.
