St Kilda will take the Friday night stage this week against West Coast at SkyBus Stadium following numerous adjustments to the 2022 NAB AFLW fixture.

The change to the fixture has been made to provide greater flexibility for the West Coast and Fremantle Football Clubs – who are currently based in Victoria – following recent announcements regarding Western Australia’s border.

The Saints will now play West Coast at Frankston’s SkyBus Stadium in four days’ time, commencing at 7:10pm. The game will be broadcast on Fox Footy, Kayo and the AFLW Official App.

Friday’s match was originally slated to be played on Saturday afternoon at Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval.

“Being prepared for change has been paramount for the past two seasons, and we’re willing to embrace whatever comes our way,” Head of AFLW Tessie McManus said.

“We will continue to work closely with the AFL and relevant government authorities as we continue to navigate through the challenges presented by COVID-19.

As always, we will remain open-minded and flexible regarding any future changes to the fixture and look forward to playing against West Coast under Friday night lights.

- Tessie McManus

“We saw a packed house at SkyBus Stadium in our season opener earlier this month, and we hope to see much of the same this Friday as we look to secure our first win of the year.”
