The Southern Saints remain on the hunt for its fourth win of the season after falling to an unrelenting Casey outfit by 89 points at Casey Fields on Sunday afternoon.

The Demons maintained their unblemished VFLW record for 2022, dominating from start to finish to overrun the Saints 14.13 (97) to 1.2 (8).

Casey mounted an early lead, controlling the bulk of possession (313-215) and forward 50 entries (51-12) as their unmatched energy and aggression set the tone for the contest.

A goal off the boot of Olivia Flanagan in the second term finally lifted spirits around the ground, but the Demon's defensive pressure was formidable, ceasing the Saints from making an impact up forward before putting through the next eleven goals without reply.

Grace Buchan (22 disposals, six tackles), Winnie Laing (19 disposals) and Amelia Peck (10 disposals) were strong contributors across four quarters, while Hannah Stuart (17 disposals, five tackles) was valiant in defence.

For Casey, Jacqueline Parry was a clear best-on-ground with four majors and 20 disposals, while Maddison Gay provided ample supply with nine inside-50s from 18 touches.

The Southern Saints will take on Port Melbourne at Trevor Barker Beach Oval on Saturday April 2, with the match beginning at 12pm.
