Greater Western Sydney ruck Erin McKinnon has nominated St Kilda as her preferred club of choice for the upcoming AFLW Season.

The 23-year-old was a member of the Giants’ inaugural side in 2017, earning NAB Rising Star honours in her debut season before a maiden All-Australian berth the following year.

McKinnon has played 41 games over her six seasons at the elite level.

“We’re really pleased to hear that Erin has expressed interest in joining us for the season ahead,” Head of AFLW Tessie McManus said.

“There is still some ground to cover, but we look forward to working with the Giants with the goal of welcoming Erin to the Saints as soon as possible."

There is no current date for AFLW trade period or list lodgement.
