Jack Sinclair’s sensational 2022 campaign has culminated in his maiden Trevor Barker Award, with the long-serving Saint joining an esteemed list of club Best & Fairests.

The All-Australian half-back finished a comprehensive 21 votes clear with a total of 174, followed by runner-up Callum Wilkie (153) and two-time Best & Fairest Jack Steele (124) in third.

Sinclair led the count from start to finish, holding a handy buffer at the halfway mark before ending the night as the only player to poll in every match of the season.

After reinventing himself as a precise and composed half-back two seasons ago, the 27-year-old pieced together his most prolific campaign in 2022 to become one of the Saints’ most influential players, whose importance to his side’s ball movement and transition was paramount.

Sinclair averaged 28 disposals at a touch under 80 per cent efficiency, six marks, five rebound-50s and 515 metres gained throughout the season, earning fitting recognition with his first All-Australian blazer before tonight’s deserving honour.

Co-vice-captain Tim Membrey (103 votes) finished in fourth off the back of another passionate and consistent year, while dual Best & Fairest Seb Ross (102) finished one vote behind to round out the top-five.

Brad Crouch (93 votes) ended his second campaign in red, white and black in sixth, Jade GreshamBradley Hill and Max King all tied in seventh on 91 votes, while Josh Battle’s (68) permanent relocation to defence resulted in his first top-10 Trevor Barker count finish.

Marcus Windhager’s prominent debut season earned him the Best Emerging Player Award, Mason Wood took home the Robert Harvey Best Clubman Award, while Wilkie’s admirable season saw him claim the Lenny Hayes Players’ Crest Award.

Sinclair also claimed the fan-voted Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Year Award.

Former St Kilda player and current Player Development Manager Tony Brown and Head of Football Operations Danny Sexton both received Life Membership for their extensive services to St Kilda Football Club.
