Mason Wood remains a chance to play against Gold Coast if he passes medical assessments this week.

The 29-year-old suffered a shoulder injury during the Saints’ win over Essendon in Round 3.

Conversely, Jimmy Webster is set for a stint on the sidelines with a fractured cheekbone.

The tough defender fell to friendly fire in the fourth quarter, colliding with Dougal Howard in a contest.

This will be Webster’s second injury this season, having only just returned from a broken hand.

“This is a disappointing result for Jimmy,” Acting General Manager of Football David Misson said.

“His willingness to put his body on the line for his teammates is something we’re accustomed to seeing from him.

“We’ll have a better idea of Jimmy’s return to play timeline after surgery.”

Meanwhile, leaders Tim Membrey and Jack Steele are making solid progress on their recovery from respective knee and shoulder injuries.
