St Kilda will play finals footy for the first time since 2020 after West Coast's win over the Western Bulldogs on Sunday sealed the Saints' return to September.

The Saints' finals fate looked destined to be decided in the final round of the season, until the Eagles - inspired by former Saint Jamie Cripps' five-goal performance - pulled off a stunning upset at Marvel Stadium.

St Kilda will face the second-placed Brisbane at the Gabba in a Saturday twilight fixture, with the potential to finish as high as fifth and as low as eighth at the conclusion of Round 24.
