Dan Butler has been given the green light to play this week after passing weekend fitness tests.

The 27-year-old small forward had been recovering from a hamstring strain received in Round 6 against the Western Bulldogs.

With Butler fully fit and goalsneak Jack Higgins returning from a three-game suspension, only Arie Schoenmaker (concussion) joins James Van Es on the list of absentees this week.

“It’s really positive to have almost our entire list fit and healthy,” Executive General Manager of Football David Misson said.

“It allows us to field a really competitive VFL team, while also enabling strong selection integrity for the AFL squad.”

Schoenmaker will need to get through training on Thursday to make himself eligible for selection.

The Saints will name their extended squad for Sunday's AFL clash with the Demons at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday, with the final team to be named at 5pm on Friday.
