Euro-Yroke will be without Jack Macrae this week, after scans confirmed a punctured lung for the midfielder.

Macrae played out Sunday’s game before examinations after the game indicated further assessment was required, seeing Macrae head to hospital post-match.

The 30-year-old ball magnet landed back in Melbourne today after further consultations with specialists in Perth, and will now spend some additional time in hospital as he continues to recover.

“It’s obviously a disappointing setback for Jack, who has made a significant impact in his first 10 games for the club,” EGM of Football David Misson said.

“Our doctors thoroughly assessed Jack after the game when he reported his symptoms and the decision was quickly made to take Jack to hospital.

“We’ll monitor Jack over the next few days, however at this stage it’s unlikely he’ll play before our bye in Round 13.”

Liam Stocker is also expected to miss the next three weeks as the 25-year-old manages a stress reaction in his foot.

Meanwhile, Paddy Dow has had his return to play timeline established as the midfielder continues to make positive strives in his rehabilitation from a severe knee infection.
