A wave of talent is set to rejoin the side with four Saints pushing for a return to play this weekend.
Max King has been listed as a test, with the club to make a call on the key-forward following main training later this week.
“Max has worked through a solid block of conditioning and contact training as he builds towards his return after missing a significant period of football,” GM of Football, Lenny Hayes said.
“Throughout what’s been a challenging period, he’s shown strong resilience and commitment to getting his body back to where it needs to be.”
“We’ll continue to lean on the advice of our high-performance team and won’t take any unnecessary risks, but he’s given himself every chance to be available this week.”
Additionally, Ryan Byrnes (foot), Anthony Caminiti (hamstring) and Tobie Travaglia (foot) have all progressed well in in their respective rehab programs, with the trio set to undergo a fitness test during the Saints main session to be eligible for selection.
Moreover, recruit Tom De Koning has also been listed as a test after suffering a significant knock against Adelaide on the weekend.
“Tom pulled up with a cork to the back/hip which he’s been managing. He’ll need to get through training later this week, but we’re hopeful the eight-day break will work in his favour,” Hayes said.
