St Kilda has selected small forward Campbell Lake with pick no. 7 in tonight’s 2026 AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

The 21-year-old joins the Saints after three years at VFL club Southport, following a junior career in the Gold Coast Academy.

Impacting as a dynamic forward-half player with a hunger for the contest, Lake played a key role in Southport’s run to consecutive VFL Grand Final appearances in 2024 and 2025.

“Campbell is a powerful small forward who can also play through midfield,” Talent Identification and Player Movement Manager Simon Dalrymple said.

“His ability to chase and tackle is impressive, while he’s also shown signs of being able to hit the scoreboard, so we’re excited to add him to our mix.”

“We can’t wait to see what Campbell produces as a Saint, and look forward to welcoming him and his family to RSEA Park.”

Lake becomes the fifth player to join St Kilda via the mid-season draft, following on from Max Hall, Cooper Sharman, Max Heath and Jack Mayo.
