The St Kilda Football Club is excited to welcome Tony Clark to its Board of Directors.

With more than three decades of senior leadership experience in the insurance industry, Clark has played a pivotal role in building and leading Australia's leading specialist insurer servicing the freight, logistics and heavy equipment sectors.

Since being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2007, he has overseen National Transport Insurance's evolution into a multiple award-winning market leader, recognised for its innovation, customer focus and industry-leading products.

He also serves as a Non-Executive Director of AMA Group and Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia. Prior to joining National Transport Insurance in 2001, Clark held senior roles with RACV and GIO.

Clark holds master's qualifications in Business Administration and Advanced Business Practice, has completed postgraduate studies in strategic leadership and marketing, and is a Fellow of both the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance and the Australian Institute of Management. He is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Clark is also passionate about improving health and wellbeing within the community.  He previously served on the board of Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds, supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing mental health and wellbeing throughout the transport and logistics industry.

Under his leadership, National Transport Insurance has raised over $3 million for Motor Neurone Disease research. His commitment to the cause has seen him undertake a series of fundraising challenges, including treks to Everest Base Camp, the Larapinta Trail and pilgrimage walks in Spain and Japan.

Clark is a lifetime supporter of the St Kilda Football Club, including as a Foundation supporter and sponsor of the Danny Frawley Centre.

St Kilda President Andrew Bassat welcomed Clark’s appointment.

“Tony's leadership credentials are exceptional. He has successfully transformed businesses, championed innovation and led high-performing teams over an extended period.

“Just as importantly, he is a passionate Saint who understands our values and ambitions, and we look forward to the contribution he will make to the Board and broader club.”

Clark said he felt privileged to be joining the Board at this time.

“It’s a real privilege to be part of this club in such a powerful way at this exciting stage of its development.

"I look forward to contributing to the club's future as we continue building towards sustained success and our next premiership."
