As a player, Aaron Hamill championed the Saints through his uncompromising work ethic, courage and leadership.

They’re all traits he brings into his coaching, with the St Kilda skipper appointed as Senior Assistant Coach (Backline and Team Defence) for Season 2020.

Hamill returned to the red, white and black in a development role in 2012, before his instant impact on the playing group saw him become a full-time member of the club’s coaching panel.

The No. 2 took charge of St Kilda’s forward line for four seasons and oversaw the development of the next generation of Saints as coach of VFL affiliate, Sandringham (2018-19).

Now returning to the backline in 2020, Hamill will be intent on solidifying the Saints' defence and turning the new-look force into a strong and cohesive unit.
