FOR THE first time in club history, St Kilda has signed 25,000 members before Christmas.
The Saints passed the 25,000 membership milestone late yesterday afternoon, and are currently more than 4,900 members up on the same time last year.
Launched in early December, the success of the 25 by 25 campaign highlights the momentum building at the club thanks to a raft of positive announcements including:
* Appointment of Danny Sexton as Director of Coaching and Strategy
* Coach Alan Richardson running his first full Saints pre-season

CEO Matt Finnis thanked the club’s loyal supporters for making history.
“Today’s announcement is a significant achievement for this great club and I would like to congratulate each and every one of our 25,000 members,” Finnis told SAINTS.com.au.
“As an AFL foundation club, it’s significant that we have never had this many members by Christmas in club history – it’s such a positive to see our proud and passionate supporters believing in the direction we are taking and getting behind the players.”
Finnis said St Kilda’s previous highest membership by 25 December was 24,288 which was achieved in a Grand Final year.
“To beat this record and then reach 25,000 members is so important for the Saints and we are determined to keep the momentum going,” he said.
“I would like to acknowledge the hard work and commitment from our membership team and all our staff who personally got behind this campaign.”
To celebrate the 25 by 25 achievement, St Kilda members will receive 25 per cent off all merchandise at Saints Locker for the month of January.
