MAVERICK Weller will miss Sunday's game against Hawthorn after accepting the Match Review Panel's one-game suspension this morning.
The midfielder was charged with striking Brisbane's Rohan Bewick during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 22-point victory at The Gabba.
The MRP deemed the conduct to be intentional, the impact low and the contact high – leading to a base penalty of two matches.
However Weller’s good record and an early plea has reduced the penalty to one game, allowing the 23-year-old to return against Melbourne in round 11.
Weller collected 19 disposals, laid four tackles and booted two crucial final quarter goals in Sunday's win.
