MIDFIELDERS Lenny Hayes and Leigh Montagna will return to St Kilda's team for Saturday's clash against Greater Western Sydney.

The veteran Saints are back from suspension and only need to get through training on Thursday to be selected.

Saints coach Alan Richardson was pleased to add some experience to his young group, which defeated Melbourne by 17 points in round one.

"It's really good [to have Hayes and Montagna back]," Richardson said on Thursday morning.
"[For] a young group to win clearances by 10 was a really positive result for us [last week], but it's great to have those guys available and ready for selection.

"Obviously we've got a pretty significant (training) session today, so as long as they get through today they will be right to play."

Richardson also indicated Jimmy Webster (groin) and David Armitage (knee) would be available for selection.

Webster was subbed off at three-quarter time in the Saints' win over Melbourne.

"Both boys were a little bit sore after the game. 'Arma' played a really aggressive, physical game for us so (had) a lot of general soreness," Richardson said.

"He got a bit of a corkie above his knee but he's responded really well.

"'Webby' will have to get through training today but certainly the doctors are suggesting he's much more likely to play than not, so we'll give him every chance."

St Kilda takes on GWS at Etihad Stadium from 1.40pm, with the winner to move to an unexpected 2-0 start to the season.
