St Kilda has partnered with Marvel to celebrate the release of the latest instalment of Marvel’s Iron Man movie series, Marvel’s Iron Man 3, which hits cinemas on Wednesday April 24.
The interactive and promotional campaign is set to build excitement around the highly anticipated film release among the Saints’ faithful.
Kicking the campaign off this weekend ahead of St Kilda’s blockbuster match against Essendon, Marvel will flood Etihad Stadium with 10,000 Iron Man 3 masks among the crowd.
The activation also includes Marvel’s Iron Man 3 photo-booth on the concourse pre-game where fans can get a photo with the Super Hero and then Iron Man himself will go up against St Kilda mascot Trevor the Saint in a kicking showdown on ground before the siren.
The Marvel Iron Man 3 activity will also feature in the Saints’ home game against Sydney at Westpac Stadium in Wellington in round five.
Marvel’s Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
