“It was tough out there, the game’s a lot faster than the VFL,” he said.
“It’s good to get on the end of a couple, I was really trying to work on my ground balls and hardness at the contest so having a couple of goals is a bonus I guess.”
Cripps has now played 13 games for the Saints and credits his hardness at the contest for securing his spot this week.
“My hardness at the contest and my pressure have helped me get back in and I had to apply that today, which I think I did.”
The Saints now face Geelong in a Friday night blockbuster in what could be the biggest test left this season.
“(We will) get ready for Geelong, watch all the vision, get prepared so we know our structures and other stuff.”
