Jake Carlisle has been charged with misconduct following an incident with Swans defender Dane Rampe in Saturday's win over Sydney.

The two came to blows in the third quarter following Zak Jones' goal, with Carlisle taking a swipe at his opponent's gloved right hand.

Rampe played out last week's match against Hawthorn with a broken hand and underwent surgery in the lead-up to Round 9.

Carlisle can accept a $500 sanction with an early plea.

The incident was assessed as misconduct and classified as $750 sanction as a first offence.
