Josh Battle headlines a trio of recalled Saints as Brett Ratten looks to upset the reigning Premiers on Friday night.

The emerging star joins Shane Savage and Jonathon Marsh as the inclusions, after the well-publicised departures of Paddy Ryder and Jake Carlisle – as well as Ben Long's unsuccessful Tribunal appeal – opened the door.

Battle, who missed the club's landmark finals berth through foot soreness, played a crucial role in the Saints' convincing Round 18 win over the Giants and looms as a dangerous match-up.

Experienced defender Savage – who has played in three finals for Hawthorn – comes in for just his second appearance in 2020, while Marsh's high-pressure brand will be a welcome addition to Ratten's side.

Ryan AbbottDylan Roberton, Nick Hind and Jimmy Webster have been named as emergencies.

A win against the Tigers would see the Saints advance to a Preliminary Final against Port Adelaide at the Adelaide Oval.

St Kilda will face Richmond on Friday 9 October at Metricon Stadium, with the opening bounce set for 7.50pm (AEDT).
