Jack Steele's tremendous 2020 campaign has been capped off with a podium finish at this year's Brownlow Medal.

Steele, 24, who was recently awarded his first All-Australian blazer and Trevor Barker Award, polled 20 votes at this year's count to finish equal-third with Melbourne's Christian Petracca.

Top honours went to Brisbane's Lachie Neale (31 votes), while Port Adelaide veteran Travis Boak placed as runner-up on 21 votes.

Steele polled in nine out of 17 matches, earning best-on-ground honours in games against Carlton, Adelaide, Port Adelaide and Gold Coast.

The star midfielder was joined by Dan Butler (eight votes) and Rowan Marshall (eight) as the club's highest vote-getters, with 13 Saints players registering a vote from the AFL's night of nights.
