St Kilda Hall of Fame member Kevin ‘Cowboy’ Neale has been re-united with his 1966 Premiership guernsey after 44 years.
The unexpected delivery came not long after Neale received a phone call from ex-Collingwood full back Peter Boyne, who told his Grand Final opponent that he had come across the guernsey while getting ready to move house.
“Peter called me the other day and said he was clearing out his house and noticed my jumper at the bottom of one of his cupboards,” Kevin told saints.com.au.
“It’s been such a long time and I had figured he no longer had it, but it was a great surprise to receive it the other day.”
But the best news of all for Cowboy was still to come, with the 65 year old still able to squeeze into the old number 18 jumper.
Neale played 256 games for St Kilda Football Club and kicked 301 goals during his 12 year career.
