AHMED Saad had a mixed 2013 in the red, white and black.

He played 13 games for the year and booted 17 goals, with his best performance coming against GWS in round three.

Saad’s strength this season was his ability to bob up for a goal or two when the team needed it most, but he struggled with consistency and injury for a period of time in the middle of the year and managed to play just one AFL game after round 16.

Forward-line coach Adam Kingsley:

“Saady has had a difficult year. He was indifferent with his form early but did show signs that he was getting back to his best.

Credit must go to Ahmed who remained positive throughout what was a difficult year for him. He has a strong character and we expect him to rebound.”
