St Kilda will head to the Queensland tropics for prime-time footy in Round 13, with the AFL confirming the under-lights encounter with Adelaide.

Cazaly’s Stadium will host the Saturday night spectacle on 12 June as the Saints return to the Sunshine State, which became the second home of football in 2020.

Chief Operating Officer Simon Lethlean said the club was looking forward to making the trip up to Cairns.

“We’re incredibly excited for the opportunity to return to northern Queensland and play in our second home for Premiership points,” Lethlean said.

“We have a strong and growing legion of St Kilda fans up north and we hope to see as many Saints supporters – new and old – at Cazalys Stadium.”

“While we expect to have quite a number of Victorian supporters make their way up north, we also look forward to seeing our many Queensland fans make the trip to Cazaly’s Stadium,” Lethlean said.

“The Saturday night slot tops off what should be a terrific occasion.”

The match will be broadcast at 7.25pm Saturday, 12 June live and free on Channel 7, as well as Fox Footy and Kayo.
