Co-captain Jarryn Geary will make his long-awaited return to the red, white and black’s ranks in time for Saturday night’s elimination final re-match against the Western Bulldogs.

The 32-year-old has been forced out of this season’s action following a series of debilitating setbacks – including a broken leg – but has ticked the right boxes following a successful return through the VFL last weekend.

Geary will be joined by inclusion Shaun McKernan in the starting 22, with Rowan Marshall (injured), Tom Highmore (omitted) and last week's medical sub Ben Long (omitted) making room for the pair.

Highmore has been named on standby alongside Darragh Joyce, Luke Dunstan and first-time emergency Leo Connolly.

Josh Battle is also due to celebrate his 50th senior game.

St Kilda will face the Western Bulldogs on Saturday 22 May, with the opening bounce at Marvel Stadium set for 7:25pm.

IN: Geary, McKernan
