Round 11 recap

The Zebras were particularly impressive last week against Richmond, recording a 30-point win out at Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval to restart their season in style.

In a complete four-quarter performance, Sandringham were outstanding as they kept the game tight before running away with the game in the final term.

Jack Lonie booted two goals to go along with his 19 disposals and six marks, while Dean Kent returned from concussion to pick up 26 touches and a major of his own.

Paul Hunter was dominant in the ruck with 42 hit-outs, 18 disposals, eight tackles and a goal, while Oscar Clavarino (12 disposals, one goal), Darragh Joyce (22 disposals) and Matthew Allison (nine disposals) worked well together down back.

The victory over the Tigers meant that Sandringham currently sit at 3-3 on the VFL ladder, rebounding well from a 0-3 start to the season.

Opposition Watch

Collingwood are in some solid form of their own heading into Sunday’s contest.

Liam McMahon slotted four goals for his side, while Brayden Sier (24 disposals, eight tackles, one goal) and Max Lynch (36 hit-outs, 19 disposals, one goal) offered solid support.
