Saturday 22 January
Up at 6:30am and off to the airport, which seemed early enough for a Saturday, but considering the boys on the earlier flight were already well and truly at the airport by then, I think we were pretty lucky. Got delayed on the tarmac for a while prior to take off, but that wasn't too hard to handle since I'd snuck into Business Class. Thanks Team Manager Greg Gniel!
Arrived in Queenstown with a jolt (literally - I was asleep on the descent and got scared out of my wits when the wheels hit the runway) to some spectacular scenery. The mountains here are that amazing they don't even look real. Got sorted with our rooms upon arrival, I'm sharing with Ryan Gamble and Tom Curran, and not long after we had tea. Some free time after that for me involved an entertaining game of slips catches lead by Stephen Milne and Adam Schneider amongst others. Good fun!

Sunday 23 January
Had a light training session Sunday morning, then after lunch split into a couple of groups. We went up and did the Canyon Swing over the Shotover river - a 200m swing that drops vertically 109m - freaking unbelievable!! Some guys struggled more than others and there's some great photos of the boys, but definitely an entertaining afternoon. Scary as hell but would definitely do it again!
