What is the weekly commitment to undertake the course?

Diploma

Students will have a weekly timetable of four days a week. The course runs between Holmesglen’s Moorabbin Campus and St Kilda’s state-of-the-art facilities at RSEA Park.

Bachelor

Students will have a weekly timetable of three days a week. The course runs between Holmesglen’s Chadstone  Campus and St Kilda’s state-of-the-art facilities at RSEA Park

What qualifications will I graduate with?

Diploma

Students graduate with a Dual Diploma of Sport (SIS50321) and Event Management (SIT50322). Students also gain additional qualifications by completing certain courses, including First Aid, Sports Trainer and Foundation Coaching Course.

Bachelor

Students graduate with either a Bachelor of Sport Business (BSPB23) or Bachelor of Sports Media (BSM20). Option to complete both a double degree in Sport Business and Sports Meida, please contact Holmesglen to find out more.

What placement opportunity will I have access to?

We offer a range of placement opportunities within the St Kilda Football Club and other Club Partners. These roles include AFL and AFLW gameday roles, coaching  opportunities with our academy, event management roles supporting Spud’s Lunch/Trevor Barker Awards and plenty more. Students who complete the Bachelor qualifications will have the opportunity to undertake a 228-hour internship at the Saints.

Can I complete the course online?

We value face to face and hands on learning to best facilitate the course, therefore we do not offer online modules.

How many intakes are available each year?

We offer two intakes for students to join any Diploma or Bachelor courses each year. Diploma Semester 1 in February and Semester 2 in July.

Bachelor Semester 1 in March and Semester 2 in August.

What is the cost to undertake the course?

Current fees for the program can be viewed here for Diploma and here for the Bachelor. Access to VET Student Loans is available to those who could not afford to pay upfront. If you wish to apply for VET Student Loan for your qualification, please discuss the eligibility and entry requirements with staff at the Student Information Office at your nearest campus. Please note there is an activities fee for which details can be sources via the above link.

What are the entry requirements?

The Diploma course is direct entry and does not require a scored ATAR. The process to apply consists of an interview with representatives from Holmesglen and St Kilda as well as a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LL&N) assessment for suitability. If you wish to apply for a Student Loan you must demonstrate competence in the ACSF at or above Exit Level 3 (working at level 4). For further information, please click here.

For both Bachelor courses applicants must be at least 17 years old, complete a Supplementary Application Form, attend an interview, and undertake a literacy and numeracy assessment prior to enrolment. Selection is based on ATAR (where applicable), previous academic achievements, and career goals, with the possibility of advanced standing for related prior study.
