THE Saints family is set to expand shortly, with news that Lenny Hayes is expecting his first child.
In an interview with Saints.com.au, Hayes revealed that wife Tara is five months pregnant.
“I’ve been married to Tara for a couple of years and we are expecting our first child in December. I’m pretty excited about that,” Hayes said.
While Saints fans around the country would be praying for a potential father-son recruit, Hayes said he was not too fussed about having a boy or a girl.
“Either would be good, I just want a happy, healthy baby,” he said.

Hayes was interviewed as part of the latest instalment of Schneiderman’s web of truth.
He also revealed among many other things that.
- He has a fear of heights.
- He possibly has the smelliest feet of anyone at the Saints.
- He has exceptionally long toes.
- He can recite every word to Warren G’s 1994 rap hit Regulate.
