Scouting report: Petrie heads to tribunal
Key North Melbourne forward to contest charge that could see him miss this week's clash with the Saints.
The North vice-captain will contest 125-point (one match) sanction following a third quarter incident with the Hawks' Brian Lake.
"The charge is ‘unnecessary and unreasonable contact’; I’d ask any reasonable person to suggest what Drew should have done in that situation - maybe write Brian an email or something – because he couldn't see, he couldn't breathe, he couldn't talk," North Melbourne coach Brad Scott said on Monday night.
Petrie's case will heard first at 5pm, with Lake's charge of misconduct to follow soon after.
The Hawthorn defender was referred directly to the Tribunal with a decision to be made on any potential penalty.
