Development Coach Lenny Hayes provides an update on the AFL-listed players that represented Sandringham against Frankston on Saturday.

VFL Match Centre: Round 10 v Frankston

DOLPHINS 3.2 7.5 8.8 15.10 (100)
ZEBRAS 0.3 2.6 6.8 9.10 (64)

Harry Boyd

18 disposals, 69 hitouts, 10 clearances, one goal

A really dominant ruck performance. Connected really well with our midfielders and was really strong around the contest for us.

Hugo Garcia

35 disposals, 12 tackles, 11 clearances, six inside 50s, one goal

Played a really good game winning plenty of the footy and being able to hit the scoreboard. He’ll continue to work on his disposal and tidying that up at times but made a real impact.

Liam Henry

17 disposals, nine tackles, eight clearances, one goal

We thought that was the best that he’s moved this year so far with his burst from congestion. He looks to be getting back to his best.

Arie Schoenmaker

19 disposals, six marks, five intercepts

He had some good passages of play utilising his kicking from the back half. He’s continuing to work on his contested marking craft as the weeks go by.

Angus Hastie

24 disposals, nine intercepts, one goal

Showed some real dash off half-back, especially in that second half and was critical in getting us back into the game in that third quarter.

Angus McLennan

16 disposals, five tackles, seven intercepts

Played the first half in the backline before moving to the midfield in the second half as another strong body. It was a bit of a different role but he did well considering his lack of exposure in there and played his role for the team.

Lance Collard

Nine disposals, two contested marks, one goal

It was a difficult night for the small forwards with a bit less supply than previous weeks and tougher conditions. He was still able to have three shots on goal and looks really dangerous when he’s able to get front and square.

Alix Tauru

10 disposals, four marks, seven intercepts

Showed some really positive signs where he was able to use his strengths with his leap and aggressive spoiling. It was good to see him back after a month out.

James Barrat

Seven disposals, four tackles, four intercepts

Took a couple of really good marks and is probably still getting the balance right of when to fly and when to spoil but it was another step in the right direction.

Patrick Said

Three disposals, one inside 50

He copped a really heavy knock in the second quarter and showed a lot of grit to come back on before half-time before unfortunately missing the second half.
