The Saints have completed their second set of VFL signings ahead of the side joining the competition in 2026.

Here's a look at the next batch with thoughts from VFL Senior Coach Brendon Goddard.

Liam Gunson

  • Age: 21
  • Height: 180cm
  • Role: Wing/Half-Forward
  • Joined From: North Melbourne VFL

A hard-running winger with good composure and foot skills who broke through for his VFL debut in 2025 with North Melbourne. Liam won the St Kevins Best & Fairest and was named in the VAFA Premier Division team of the year in an impressive campaign. Liam will join us fully for training at the end of January after pursuing a potential off-field career opportunity in Sydney, which we fully support as a club. 

Isaac Baldwin

  • Age: 19
  • Height: 177cm
  • Role: Small Forward/Midfield
  • Joined From: GWS Academy/Gungahlin Jets

Isaac is a speedy and tenacious small forward who joins us from the ACT. A member of the GWS Giants Academy, Isaac is a tough competitor who relishes the contest and we’re very happy to welcome him to Melbourne and the Saints. 

Ethan Warburton

  • Age: 23
  • Height: 185cm
  • Role: Half-Back
  • Joined From: Norwood SANFL

Ethan joins us from Norwood in the SANFL, where he spent the past four years after joining from the Murray Bushrangers. From Shepparton originally, Ethan is a reliable user and dependable defender who brings valuable state league experience to our backline. 

Tyson McKenzie

  • Age: 24
  • Height: 183cm
  • Role: Half-Back/Midfield
  • Joined From: Sea Lake Nandaly Tigers

Tyson joins us from Sea Lake Nandaly where he was a two-time premiership player. Having overcome some serious injury setbacks earlier in his career, Tyson has impressed with his competitiveness, speed and kicking off half-back and through the midfield and shapes as an exciting addition for 2026.

Reeve Evans

  • Age: 18
  • Height:179cm
  • Role: Half-Forward/Wing
  • Joined From: Oakleigh Chargers

Reeve joins us from the Oakleigh Chargers, where he will continue for another season while being aligned to our VFL team. A powerful endurance athlete, Reeve is a neat kick inside 50 and is a player we’re excited to watch develop over the coming years. 

Tyson Nagel

  • Age: 19 years old
  • Height: 177cm
  • Role: Small Forward
  • Joined From: Old Ivanhoe Grammarians FC

Tyson is an electric small forward who joins us from Old Ivanhoe in the VAFA. Tyson impressed this year with his speed, endurance, pressure and goal sense and is one to watch for 2026.
