The St Kilda Football Club will farewell Jack Carroll, with the defender not offered a contract following the conclusion of this year’s trade period.

Carroll joined the Saints as a delisted free agent ahead of the 2025 season after previously playing 21 games for Carlton.

Making his debut against Melbourne in Alice Springs midway through the 2025 season, Carroll played three games in his first year at St Kilda.

The 23-year-old featured in the first 12 games of the 2026 AFL season before averaging 26 disposals in the VFL across the back half of the year.

General Manager of Football Lenny Hayes said Carroll had been a valued member of the St Kilda playing group over the past two seasons.

“Decisions such as these are always tough to make at this time of year.

“We thank Jack for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for the future.”

Carroll’s departure comes ahead of the 2026 AFL National Draft, where St Kilda currently holds several selections, including 10, 16, 41, 51 and 69.
