St Kilda has named its 26-man extended squad ahead of Sunday's match against Melbourne at the MCG.

The Saints will be forced to make at least one change to the side that took on the Pies in Opening Round, with Rowan Marshall entering concussion protocols after suffering a head knock in the third quarter.

Last week's emergencies in Isaac Keeler, draftee Charlie Banfield and Liam Stocker all remain on the extended bench, with Alex Dodson joining them after three VFL practice matches.

The final team will be announced at 5:00pm AEDT on Friday.

The game will be played at 3:20pm AEDT on Sunday, and will be broadcast live on 7, Fox Footy and Kayo.
