General Manager of Football Simon Lethlean has provided an update on Paddy McCartin and Dylan Roberton.

McCartin copped a head knock late in the second quarter of Sunday’s JLT clash with the Bulldogs at Mars Stadium.

The key forward was assessed by club doctors and ruled out for the second half.

McCartin was feeling unwell after the game and was monitored overnight in Ballarat’s St John of God Hospital.

The 22-year-old was resting up at home on Monday.

Lethlean said it was now just a wait and see on how he pulled up.

“As with every concussion, it’s now just about his symptoms as to how quickly he’ll be back on the track.”

“Given his history of head knocks, it goes without saying that we’ll take a cautious approach.”

Roberton reported feeling unsteady at the end of Sunday’s match and was subsequently assessed by club doctors and paramedics.

“Dylan was also monitored overnight in hospital and back home today,” Lethlean said.

“We’ll know more in the next few days as to what caused him to feel unwell and what the prognosis is from here.”
