The Saints will be without young gun J’Noemi Anderson for the coming weeks after the 21-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s season opener.

Anderson was ruled out of the clash shortly into the second half, with scans confirming a moderate-grade hamstring strain.

Meanwhile, Darcy Guttridge is showing positive signs after being withdrawn from Sunday’s squad following a back aggravation at main training on Friday, and is expected to be available in the lead-up to Round 2.

Additionally, draftee Carys D’Addario will also spend a short period on the sidelines after aggravating her hip, but is aiming to be available for selection for the Saints’ Round 2 trip down the highway to face Geelong.

“It’s a disappointing result for J’Noemi after all the work she’s put in throughout pre-season,” General Manager AFLW Jessie Mulholland said.

“She’s a really resilient and competitive person, so we know she’ll put everything into her rehab and getting herself back out there as soon as she can.”
